In 1971
my friend Peter (PMB)
successfully nagged his dad
to buy a Super8 cam
- a light to carry and easy to use -
BAUER.

In summer of the same year
when he married Christiane
he asked me
to do some Kodak rolls
on the wedding day.

This was my
first Super8 film
shot on that very day
in 1971.

Thereafter I borrowed this cam
as often as possible
to do some nice small filmworks
with Angelik.

Eventually I was able to buy my own
BEAULIEU 4008s
(Schneider Kreuznach 1,8/8-40mm lens)
in 1972
- that's when a
Super8 surge
swepped over
fabrikneu
where Angelik and I lived and worked now
after her return from London's
Slade School of Fine Arts...

... and in 1975 the marvellous
BEAULIEU 5008S
(Angenieux 1,8/6-66mm lens)
brought sound to the films.
